Kristen Williams Selected to Lead Central West Justice Center

Community Legal Aid, a non-profit organization that provides free legal services annually to over 8,000 low-income and elderly residents of Central and Western Massachusetts, is pleased to announce that Attorney Kristen Williams has been named Director of its affiliate organization, the Central West Justice Center. As Director, Attorney Williams will oversee a team of lawyers, paralegals, and staff that assist low-income and elderly clients with immigration, housing, and employment benefits in the five counties of Central and Western Massachusetts. The Central West Justice Center, which has offices in Worcester, Northampton, Springfield and Pittsfield, also houses the Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker and Food Security Projects. Attorney Williams replaces Leticia Medina-Richman, who has been named Chief Operating Officer of Community Legal Aid.

Attorney Williams joined Community Legal Aid in 2014 first as an AmeriCorps Attorney representing tenants in eviction cases. She then became a Staff Attorney representing clients in public benefits cases, including Social Security, SSI/SSDI, and unemployment. She has also been an active member of Community Legal Aid’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Technology committees.

Originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Attorney Williams attended Williams College and Boston College Law School. She resides with her wife and dog in Connecticut.
